Parquet is a natural material, wood can be sensitive to strong temperature fluctuations. One prevents by not processing parquet immediately after purchase and transport. The material must be used to the room temperature before laying. The planks (in the packaging) are stored in the room in which they are later laid. The storage period is at least 48 hours. The ground should be flat.

Important so that the properties of the parquet are not affected: the room temperature should be between 17 and a maximum of 25 degrees Celsius. If the room has underfloor heating, the temperature of the floor heating must be at least 15 degrees and a maximum of 20 degrees. Ideal is a humidity in the range of 50 to 65 percent. After laying, the parquet is much more insensitive. The correct storage prevents the elements from warping or swelling before laying. If the parquet is stored for a longer period of time, room temperature and humidity must be checked regularly.
